Jennifer Aniston Clears the Air After Viral Oil Splash on ‘The Morning Show’ Set”
Jennifer Aniston revealed she received a flood of concerned text messages from friends and fans after a video of her drenched in oil went viral. The incident, which occurred while filming the latest season of The Morning Show, sparked confusion, with tabloids presenting it as if it had happened in real life.
In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Aniston discussed the unexpected reaction. “There was something that happened in the context of the show that was presented as if it happened in real life by the tabloids,” she explained.
Kimmel added humor to the situation, saying, “You got splashed by — well, your character, I should say — got splashed with oil… It seemed like somebody did this to you.”
Aniston went on to share how the viral video led to a barrage of messages from her inner circle. “I was getting endless texts [asking], ‘Are you okay? What happened to you? This is awful,'” she recalled. “But yeah, they just did not mention that it was in the [show].”
Reflecting on the incident, Aniston joked about the frequent calls she receives from her publicist alerting her to tabloid stories. “Of all the calls you get from your publicist, where you’re just like, ‘Oh no, what’s it gonna be?’ or the email saying some cheesy tabloid is gonna make up a story, and then it’s that.” She added with a smile, “I was not mad at it.”
In the same interview, Aniston also addressed rumors about her being linked to former President Barack Obama, which she found amusing. “I have met him once. I know Michelle more than him,” she quipped. When Kimmel jokingly asked, “Is there a truth about you and Michelle that we should know?” Aniston smiled and replied, “That is not true.”
Aniston took the viral buzz in stride, proving once again that she handles the spotlight with grace and humor, no matter how wild the rumors may get.
