The eternal city of Venice just got a touch more glamorous! Hollywood’s power couple, George and Amal Clooney, were spotted indulging in a romantic gondola ride amidst the city’s iconic canals.
The two made heads turn as they headed to the upscale Ristorante Da Ivo on Wednesday night. Amal, radiant in a shimmering green ensemble, was graciously assisted onto the boat by George, who looked every bit the dashing gentleman in a crisp blue suit.
But this wasn’t just a casual Venetian getaway. The visit was extra special for Amal, who was among a select group of five women recognized with the “DVF Leadership Award” at the renowned 14th Annual DVF Awards hosted by Diane Von Furstenberg. The award pays tribute to women displaying exemplary leadership and bravery in championing women’s rights and issues.
For the gala, Amal chose an ethereal light pink champagne slip dress that perfectly complemented the city’s romantic backdrop.
While the twins, Alexander and Ella, were not spotted on this Italian adventure, they’re undoubtedly the pride and joy of the Clooney household, having been born in 2017.
