The next Fast & Furious film is now officially known as Fast 8. In a series of posts online this weekend, Vin Diesel teased that the next installment of his ongoing novella series about fast cars and crime is very much on its way, and is coming up to the Big Apple in 2017.

With the new art comes a brand new tagline: New Roads Ahead. The line clearly alludes to next series of films that will make up one final Fast & Furious trilogy, while also giving a bittersweet nod to the loss of Paul Walker.

Now, with Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray already attached to helm the film, all fans need to wait for is for filming to begin.
Of course, prepping for Fast & Furious 8 isn’t the only thing on Vin Diesel’s plate. The actor is also getting ready to shoot xXx: [contentblock id=3 img=gcb.png] The Return of Xander Cage, which will evidently involve a lot of longboarding: Fast & Furious 8 will hit theaters on April 14th, 2017. No word yet on a release date forxXx: The Return of Xander Cage.
