According to Buckingham Palace sources, the royal family was recently told of President Biden’s plan not to attend the gathering as one of many heads of state slated to attend.
Despite President Biden’s absence, an official US contingent will attend the coronation, including ambassadors, diplomats, and other staff. The delegation’s members are expected to be announced by the White House in the coming weeks.
