Cher and Alexander ‘A.E.’ Edwards Reportedly Facing Relationship Struggles
Cher and her partner, Alexander ‘A.E.’ Edwards, are reportedly encountering some difficulties in their relationship. According to an insider who spoke to Life & Style, while the couple remains together, they have been spending increasing amounts of time apart.
The source revealed that Cher, 78, has been spending a lot of time at her Malibu mansion, keeping to herself following the resolution of a recent drama involving her son, Elijah Blue Allman. Meanwhile, Edwards is said to be seeking some distance from the iconic singer, feeling overwhelmed by her demanding nature.
“She’s still testy, tired, and demanding as hell, questioning his every move,” the insider explained. Edwards reportedly finds her behavior to be stifling, leading to tension between the two. “This is paranoia to A.E., and he grumbles she’s not giving him room to breathe.”
The source also mentioned that Edwards feels Cher’s behavior can be “overbearing” at times, and as he pulls away, Cher starts to question whether he is the “young prince” she once thought he was.
The insider added that Cher has been acting more needy in the relationship, which seems to be pushing Edwards further away. “People are whispering that they’re fizzling out, which is inevitable,” they said, hinting that the relationship may not last much longer.
According to the source, friends of the couple have expressed doubts about the long-term compatibility of the pair. “The feeling among their friends is that they never really were a well-suited couple for the long term, even if she does a good job dragging him out to silence the rumors now and then.”
Despite efforts to keep up appearances, it seems the relationship between Cher and Edwards may be on shaky ground.
