Tom Cruise might have just stolen the spotlight at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 62-year-old actor made a notable appearance at the Bercy Arena in Paris to watch Simone Biles and the US women’s gymnastics team compete. His presence drew significant attention as fans recognized him and eagerly requested selfies, according to PEOPLE.

The Mission: Impossible star was visibly in high spirits, especially when the arena played the iconic theme song from his famous franchise. Cruise’s smiling face was prominently displayed on the jumbotron as a few seconds of the track played, much to the delight of the crowd.

Cruise has been in Paris for a few days, participating in various Olympic events. He made his first appearance at the opening ceremony along the Seine River on July 26.

Tom Cruise was among several celebrities who attended the artistic gymnastics qualifying round on Sunday. Other notable attendees included Ariana Grande, Anna Wintour, and Nick Jonas, all sharing the excitement alongside Cruise. The 2022 installment, Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning, made $172 million at the domestic box office and earned Ethan Hunt and co. their first-ever Academy Award nods.

In addition to his Olympic engagements, the Top Gun actor also attended Bruce Springsteen’s concert at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium earlier in the week.

Cruise’s appearance at the Olympics and his engagement with fans highlight his enduring popularity and enthusiasm for high-profile events, adding to the star-studded atmosphere of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
