Sofia Vergara’s brutal response to Joe Manganiello’s remarks regarding the downfall of marriage: “We Have to Keep Living”

Sofia Vergara recently addressed comments made by her former partner Joe Manganiello after he publicly rejected her explanation for their split. Speaking to Variety, the Modern Family star shared her thoughts following Joe’s denial of her statement that his desire to “have kids” was a significant reason for their breakup.

“When you sit too much with your thoughts, that’s when people get depressed and people get paralyzed. I always keep active,” Sofia told the outlet. She emphasized the importance of moving forward, saying, “We have to keep living.”

Vergara expressed skepticism about the reports, stating, “At the end of the day, you never even know if that’s what he said for real. I’ve read a lot of things that I’ve said that I’m like, ‘Huh?’” She added, “What am I gonna do, call him?”

During the interview, Sofia also questioned the accuracy of the reports, referring to an interview Joe had with Men’s Journal. In that interview, Joe reportedly dismissed the idea that their split was due to his desire for a family, stating, “There’s been a lot said in the press about me wanting a family. That’s simply not true.”

Joe went on to clarify, “We did try to have a family for the first year and a half,” acknowledging their efforts but pushing back against the narrative that it was a central issue in their marriage.

The Magic Mike actor also addressed Sofia’s past comments suggesting their marriage ended because he was younger and wanted children. “To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis, and after nine years, turned to somebody and gave them an ultimatum of, ‘Do this potentially unhealthy thing to your body, or else I’m gone?’ That’s never who I was,” Joe explained, rejecting the notion that he pressured Sofia into having children.

The exchange between the two has sparked public interest, with both stars sharing their perspectives on what led to the end of their relationship. While Vergara remains focused on moving forward, Manganiello’s comments suggest that the reasons for their split may be more complex than initially thought.
