Nicki Minaj marked her and Kenneth Petty’s one-year wedding anniversary by sharing the first photo of their newborn son on her Instagram. Minaj wrote, “Happy Anniversary, my love ♥️” Her son’s foot was on display in the intimate shot.
Minaj announced the birth of her first baby on Instagram on October 15. She shared the congratulatory notes that Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian sent her among others, captioning that post, “Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time.
It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world. ????” It was in that Instagram caption that Minaj subtly shared her baby’s gender for the first time. She still has not shared his name or exact birth date.
Minaj and Petty have been together since 2018. She revealed their marriage on her Instagram exactly one year ago, captioning that post: “???????? Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19”
In June 2019, Minaj made it clear that her marriage to Petty was imminent. She revealed she and Petty got their marriage license then during an episode of Queen Radio.
“We did get our marriage license,” she said. “I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything.”
