If you follow MrBeast and his gang of collaborators, you are surely aware that YouTuber Chris Tyson just underwent a huge life change.

Chris revealed earlier this month that he is gender nonconforming and that they had begun hormone replacement therapy.

Chris, who uses any pronouns, shared excitement at the progress they had achieved in only two months and described the treatment as “life-saving.”

“Informed consent HRT saved my and many others’ lives. The hurdles gnc people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me,” Chris wrote. “Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies.”

MrBeast and Chris’s other pals have been quite supportive of their decision, although they have seen a lot of anti-trans reactions.

Although MrBeast has helped shut down opponents on multiple occasions, Chris’s parenting abilities are now being questioned.

When Chris recently altered their Twitter picture from a snapshot of them with their 2-year-old son Tucker to a drawing of them looking more feminine, one reviewer chastised them.

In a Twitter conversation, the critic criticized Chris’ decision to start HRT and questioned whether Chris truly loved Tucker.

He said that by allowing Chris to indulge in “his selfish fetish fantasy of being a woman,” they were jeopardizing a “perfectly healthy nuclear family.”

Chris was even accused of “pushing his selfish fetish onto his own son” by posting a photo of the child in glittery dress-up shoes.

“To further my point about @chris, he just changed his alt account @Christhealtgod profile picture to a sketch of himself. It used to be a picture of him and his son. He can’t use a real picture because he knows he looks too masculine,” the critic wrote.

Chris responded by shutting him down, claiming that the change was made to protect their baby.

“I just don’t want any more photos of Tucker out there that has to be 👍 /gen /pos,” Chris wrote.

Last week, Chris also addressed commenters who claimed they abandoned Tucker, writing, “He is the only priority in my life. I have his love and support, and that is all I need. I’m doing this for him. If that confuses you, educate yourself.”

Despite that Chris is still dealing with critics, they claim they are “genuinely so glad” that coming out has helped so many others learn about HRT and start conversations.
