In a surprising revelation, Kris Jenner is reportedly unhappy with her daughter Khloé Kardashian’s decision to seek therapy. Khloé believes her mother’s reaction is influenced by past experiences, particularly the shifts in their family dynamic when Kourtney Kardashian began therapy.
On the latest episode of The Kardashians, which premiered on Hulu on March 6, Khloé disclosed her mother’s discontent while making vision boards with Kourtney in preparation for her milestone birthday. “Mom is not happy,” Khloé told Kourtney, prompting her sister to respond, “Why? If only she would go.”

In a confessional segment, Kourtney speculated that Kris might be worried about how therapy could alter her relationship with Khloé, just as it had done in their own mother-daughter dynamic. Kourtney previously struggled with therapy’s impact on her bond with Kris, which could explain the matriarch’s hesitation about another daughter seeking professional help.
“Maybe my mom saw the reaction that I had with her about therapy and maybe she’s like, ‘Not the other two! Kourtney is just coming around the corner being nice to me again,’” Kourtney explained, as reported by People.

Khloé has received encouragement from both her sister Kim Kardashian and longtime friend Malika Haqq to pursue therapy. However, she suggested that Kris’s reluctance may stem from deeper-rooted family dynamics, particularly regarding her own role in their household growing up.
Reflecting on her past, Khloé shared that she often felt “parentified” from a young age, stepping in to care for her younger half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

“My therapist sort of told me one of the reasons why I want to take care of other people so badly is because I got attention and recognition when I was doing adult-like things, like taking care of my sisters, dropping them off at school,” Khloé explained.
Despite initial hesitation, Khloé admitted in a confessional that she had missed therapy sessions for three weeks but felt an internal pressure to resume her progress.
The revelation highlights ongoing tensions within the Kardashian-Jenner family, as therapy continues to shape their relationships and personal growth. With Khloé determined to focus on her well-being, it remains to be seen how Kris will ultimately react to her daughter’s journey toward self-improvement.
