Khloe Kardashian is lifting the curtain on what really goes on behind the scenes of The Kardashians — and this time, she’s calling out her sister Kourtney for being the “pickiest editor” on the family’s hit reality show.
During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday, April 16, the 40-year-old reality star revealed that Kourtney often nitpicks over what makes it into the final cut of the show. And while it’s not about changing storylines, Khloe says her sister is all about editing how she sounds on screen.
“It’s more because she’ll say, ‘I say ‘like’ too many times, so remove this word.’ It’s more than regard. It’s not really storylines because they’re following us, but it’s not about a story concept. It’s more verbiage,” Khloe explained.
She couldn’t help but joke about it too, adding, “She still says ‘like’ 500 times,” taking a light jab at her older sister’s speech habits.
While Kourtney prefers a more polished version of herself on TV, Khloe says she’s all about keeping it real. From her highly publicized marriage and divorce to cheating scandals and motherhood, she’s made a point to show her life unfiltered, no matter how messy it gets.
“I don’t want to overthink, or else I think it really changes how the show is perceived. And so with that—not that I want all of these things to be played out on the show—but I’ve really made a conscious effort to not edit,” she said.
Khloe explained her reasoning further, saying she believes being honest on the show could help others. “I can’t be the only one going through certain things. And if it makes somebody else feel seen or if it helps somebody get through something … I really hope that I make someone feel more seen and safe and that they’re not alone on this island that feels so incredibly isolating.”
As The Kardashians continues to document their highs and lows, Khloe’s commitment to raw storytelling is a reminder that not everything in Hollywood is smoke and mirrors — at least not when she’s involved.
