Kanye West and his separated wife Kim Kardashian aren’t moving far away from each other while they co-parent their four children.
According to Entertainment Tonight, West, 44, who now goes by the moniker Ye, bought a $4.5 million home on the same street as Kardashian, 41, in Hidden Hills, California.
The Grammy winner is claimed to have bought his new home, which has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, on December 20.
This comes more than a year after West and Kardashian called it quits. She filed for divorce in February after more than six years of marriage.
Following the “Gold Digger” rapper’s recent public demands for reconciliation, the Skims entrepreneur filed for divorce earlier this month.
In documents obtained by ET, Kardashian declared that their marriage was “unsalvageable.”
In court records, she stated her desire to “bifurcate the question of marital status from the remaining issues to be considered in this process, and to terminate the parties’ marital status.” Kardashian has reportedly sought to be declared legally single before the divorce is finalized.
As per Washingtonnewsday, she requested in the paperwork that custody of their four children — North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2 — be handled separately from their marital status, allowing Kardashian to be legally single sooner.
Kardashian’s lawyer stated that she “has no desire to reconcile” with her estranged husband and that “continuing to preserve formal marital status between [Kim] and [Ye] serves no constructive purpose, and there is no reason to retain the legal relationship.”
West has made several public attempts to reunite with the reality star since November.
The rapper expressed his love for her during a performance of his song “Runaway” at the Free Larry Hoover concert at the Los Angeles Coliseum earlier this month.
