Justin Baldoni’s Father Shows Support Amid Legal Battle with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Justin Baldoni’s father, Sam Baldoni, has publicly expressed support for his son as the actor remains embroiled in a high-profile legal dispute with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. On Wednesday, March 5, Sam, 61, posted a video on his Instagram Story featuring a bulletin board with the message, “In a world full of Blakes and Ryans, be a Justin.”

The board displayed a collage of images of Justin Baldoni, various news clippings about his philanthropic work, and descriptive words such as “compassionate, supportive,” and “honest.” One of the news articles highlighted Baldoni’s donations to the Claire’s Place Foundation, a nonprofit supporting children with cystic fibrosis.

Although Sam later deleted the post, the video resurfaced on TikTok, and he later reshared it with a heart-hand emoji, signaling his continued support for his son. This public gesture comes as Baldoni faces a heated legal battle with Gossip Girl alum Blake Lively. In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation—claims Baldoni has denied.

In response, he launched a $400 million countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane. The case took another turn on Thursday, March 6, when attorneys representing Lively and Reynolds argued that Baldoni should not be granted access to the couple’s private text messages with other celebrities, citing concerns about potential leaks to the public.

With both sides unwilling to settle, the cases are scheduled to go to trial in March 2026. Lawyers representing both Lively and Baldoni have ruled out mediation, calling it “inappropriate” and “premature.” As the legal battle intensifies, public and industry reactions remain divided. While some rally behind Baldoni, others have expressed support for Lively and Reynolds, making this one of Hollywood’s most closely watched lawsuits in recent years.
