Brooklyn Beckham has followed in dad David’s steps by playing for Manchester United. Brooklyn, 14, is currently on trial with United’s Under-15s at the club’s state-of-the-art Aon training complex.
And dad David, who played for United for nine years until 2003 when he joined Real Madrid, was on hand to watch his eldest son in action.It is understood Brooklyn posed for pictures with his United Under-15 team-mates when they realised the identity of his famous father.
United midfielder Tom Cleverley yesterday posted a picture on his twitter account with him standing with Beckham at the training ground reception, with the message “legend!”.
Brooklyn, a talented footballer who was doing keepie-uppies at seven according to his dad, had trials at Chelsea in January.
But dad David will be hoping Brooklyn impresses enough at United to follow in his footsteps and pull on the famous red shirt for the first-team.mirror
