Britney Spears and Sam Asghari ‘Over Already’?
According to a report this week in In Touch, Britney Spears already regrets marrying her longtime companion Sam Asghari.
The outlet makes note of Spears’ decision to remove her Instagram just days after getting married and her subsequent return with a statement describing how “weird” her new life with Asghari is.
“The excitement has worn off,” an insider divulges. “She seems to be having second thoughts about all the changes in her life. She’s already talked about returning the wedding presents, and those close to her think a divorce could be coming soon.”
The insider then refers to Asghari’s remarks in a recent GQ interview about his want to put Spears on a budget and his refusal to be a “house husband.” “After the last 13 years, Britney isn’t about to go back to asking for permission to spend her own hard-earned money.
Sam’s ideas are too controlling—just like her dad when he was her conservator!” Apparently, Spears is terrified of giving up any control. “Her friends think she wants out,” the tipster concludes.
Is Britney Spears Getting Divorce?
It didn’t take long to get this whole thing together. First off, Britney Spears wasn’t talking about Asghari when she described how “weird” her new life was in a now-deleted Instagram post; instead, she was discussing her brand-new home. “It’s so weird I wake up and everything is new,” the pop star wrote, “new pool … new kitchen … new bed … I think I am in shock!!!”
So, we firmly disbelieve that she has only started to doubt. Aghori has employed Spears for more than six years. She even told the court in her conservatorship hearing in June of last year that she wanted to be married and begin trying to conceive with Asghari. This was not a spur-of-the-moment choice.
Finally, the publication grossly misconstrues Sam Asghari’s comments in his GQ interview. He never mentioned putting Spears on a budget or managing her money in the complete transcript. He only stated that, if it were up to him, they would subsist on $60 per day, as that is all he is able to afford.
As per Flipboard, he made it clear that he doesn’t take advantage of Spears, thus he leads a pretty modest life.
He described Spears as a “real-life princess” and discussed his efforts to prepare the ideal proposal during the same session. He’s only ever talked highly of his wife, so to propagate these accusations about his “controlling” conduct is just hurtful to both of them.
It’s easy to assume there was no truth to this disrespectful rumor because Spears earlier this month uploaded a video of them on their honeymoon looking utterly in love.
More Divorce Speculation from the Tabloid
Far from being the only couple to receive this treatment from In Touch, Spears and Asghari are. The publication said that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen were headed for a $150 million divorce last year.
The magazine then allegedly stated that Reese Witherspoon was attempting valiantly to avert a $250 million divorce. The tabloid also recently claimed that Will and Jada Pinkett-marriage Smith’s was “hanging on a thread.”
It’s clear that In Touch can’t be trusted when it comes to divorce because all of these couples are still together.
