Bethenny Frankel is making a big life change — and fans are stunned. The former Real Housewives of New York City star took to TikTok on April 17 to announce that she is officially leaving New York and relocating to Florida.
“I’ve been waiting until I got down here to tell you, but I am moving to Florida for personal and professional reasons,” the 54-year-old TV personality revealed to her followers.
Frankel, known for her straight talk and business savvy, explained that the decision wasn’t made lightly. “Something has arisen that made this the best and healthiest decision for myself and my daughter,” she said.
Bethenny shares her 14-year-old daughter, Bryn, with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy. While the move may sound like a major shakeup, she assured fans that New York hasn’t been left behind completely.
“We will maintain residences in New York City and the Hamptons because we love New York,” she added.
Though she didn’t go into detail about what prompted the sudden shift, Frankel hinted that more information will come soon. “I’ll let you know more soon,” she teased at the end of the video.
Known for building a successful lifestyle brand and not holding back her opinions, Bethenny’s decision to move has sparked plenty of conversation among her fanbase, especially those who associate her so strongly with New York City, where she built her career and became a household name.
Bethenny originally rose to fame on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart before finding widespread success on RHONY, later launching her Skinnygirl empire and becoming a bestselling author and philanthropist.
Her move to Florida marks a new chapter not just in her personal life, but potentially in her business endeavors as well. Whether it’s a fresh opportunity, a lifestyle shift, or both, fans are eager to hear what comes next for the outspoken mogul.
While the Big Apple will still be part of her story, for now, Bethenny Frankel is trading city streets for palm trees — and she says it’s exactly what she and her daughter need.
