Ben Affleck’s expressions in paparazzi photos often spark discussions online, but the star insists that people misinterpret his emotions. In a candid conversation with Kevin Hart on his show Hart to Heart, the Batman v Superman actor addressed the memes and speculation surrounding his often perceived angry, sad, or confused expressions.

“People are projecting something onto me that I don’t feel about myself at all,” Affleck explained, dismissing the memes and assumptions made about his state of mind in those photos.

He also said, “I’m also a little bit shy,” noting, “I also don’t like a lot of attention. That’s why people see me, and they’re like, ‘Why’s this dude always mad?’ Because somebody has their camera and sticks it in my face and I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go.'”

“Actually, what I’d like to do is much more definitive than just look at you like this,” he noted. “I don’t mind, you can take my picture at a club or a premiere, with my wife [Jennifer Lopez], I don’t give a ****. Knock yourself out. I don’t notice you. But with my children, that’s a different thing.”

Affleck shared that while he can manage the paparazzi attention when with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, he feels a significant discomfort when they photograph him with his children. He emphasized that the intrusion into his private moments with his kids is particularly unwelcome.

The actor’s remarks highlight the challenges of living in the public eye, where every expression can be scrutinized and misinterpreted. Despite the constant media attention, Affleck remains focused on maintaining a sense of normalcy and privacy for his family.
