Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Sell Lavish Beverly Hills Mansion, Citing Safety Concerns

In 2023, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez made headlines when they purchased a sprawling mansion in Beverly Hills. However, recent reports indicate that the couple decided to sell the property because they felt “unsafe” due to its sheer size.

The 38,000-square-foot estate, boasting 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, proved to be less of a home and more of a challenge for the high-profile duo. Well-placed sources told the Daily Mail that after living there for a while, the mansion never quite felt like home.

“Jennifer and Ben decided to sell their house because neither one of them nor their kids felt like this place was home,” the insider revealed. “It was too big, and the openness made them feel unsafe at times, and although they have around-the-clock security, something just didn’t feel right.”

Insiders noted that Ben Affleck was particularly negative about the mansion compared to Jennifer Lopez. The massive size and layout of the house contributed to a feeling of discomfort despite their extensive security measures.

Additionally, the cost of maintaining the property played a role in their decision. “The amount of money it costs just in utilities for that home was astronomical,” the tipster added.

The decision to sell the mansion also coincided with a rocky period in their relationship, suggesting that the property might have added to their stress rather than providing a sanctuary.

As the couple moves on from their Beverly Hills estate, they are likely seeking a residence that better suits their needs and offers a true sense of home.
