Nicola Coughlan, known for her role in Bridgerton, had more than just her debut at the 2024 Emmy Awards to celebrate on Sunday. The 37-year-old actress experienced an unforgettable moment when she found herself standing next to none other than Jennifer Aniston.
“I went to get my photos taken, and then I looked to my left and Jennifer Aniston was standing right beside me,” Coughlan shared with Access Hollywood ahead of the awards ceremony. “I heard her voice, and I gasped!”
Despite being a star on the red carpet herself, Coughlan couldn’t hide her excitement over the Friends icon, 55, confessing that she was completely starstruck. “I am normally quite okay, but I mean, she’s Rachel!” she gushed. “She’s perfect!”
The night was especially significant for Coughlan, who was attending her first Emmy Awards. “[It’s] my very first one!” she said, reflecting on the milestone. “Last time I just went to In-n-Out Burger!”
For the big occasion, Coughlan stunned in a structured silver off-the-shoulder gown with a peplum waist. She also took to the stage during the event to present Lamorne Morris with an award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Anthology Series or Movie.
