His ‘lack of sharpness’ during the Iowa event shocked and scared a longtime Trump official

During a CNN “State of the Union” discussion, Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former official in the Trump White House, shifted the focus from Donald Trump’s criticisms of President Joe Biden to express her surprise at Trump’s performance during his recent rallies in Iowa.

She remarked on a noticeable change in his delivery style, which she found to be less sharp compared to previous years.

Host Dana Bash and Farah Griffin touched upon Trump’s tendency to project his faults onto others, but Farah Griffin quickly moved to discuss his overall demeanor at the Iowa events. She reflected on her time spent with Trump in 2020 and earlier, noting a significant change in his approach, Raw Story reported on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

Farah Griffin pointed out that Trump seemed to be slowing down, lacking the sharpness and clarity that were more evident in his earlier speeches. She highlighted this change by referencing a specific moment from the rally where Trump discussed healthcare policy.

In this instance, she observed Trump’s conflicting statements about Obamacare, where he talked about both overturning and fixing it, demonstrating what she perceived as inconsistencies in his speech.
