Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Expected To Come Back to the UK in Spring with Duke’s Project
Because the Duke of Sussex is competing in the Invictus Games in the Netherlands, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are likely to return to the UK in the spring.
Nearly two years ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stood down as senior royals and relocated to the United States. They have been unable to return to the UK as a family due to the coronavirus outbreak, though Harry did make two brief journeys last year, one for his grandpa Prince Philip’s death and the other for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue with Prince William.
Meghan and her son Archie, on the other hand, have not visited the United Kingdom since the transfer, and their daughter Lilibet has never been. Lilibet has yet to meet any members of her father’s family, including her grandparents Prince Charles and Camilla, as well as her great-grandmother the Queen.
Ann Gripper hosts Pod Save the Queen, which features Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers. Mr. Myers mentioned that Harry will be attending the Invictus Games in northern Europe this year, which will take place between May 29 and June 5.
Sick and injured military people and veterans play in adaptive sports at the Games, which were organized by Harry himself. They were meant to take place in The Hague in 2020, but COVID-19 forced them to postpone the event twice.
As per Express, there will be a date overlap with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend, which the Sussexes are likely to attend if the Games go through this year and do not have to be postponed again. Mr. Myers claimed that since Harry is already in Europe, he will most likely see his family.
Furthermore, Meghan and the kids are expected to attend the Invictus Games, implying that they would most likely accompany Harry to the United Kingdom. Mr. Myers said: “It’s been a busy year and it probably is a good time to let this year go, see what happens in the new year and hopefully we will see them back in the UK.
“Because Harry has got the Invictus Games, fingers crossed [in May/June], so one would assume he will come back and see his family. “And again, one would assume Meghan will come to the Invictus Games as well, with the children.
“So, I think that that’s probably a fair bet to say that we may see them in the springtime next year. But who knows?” When Meghan and Harry announced their plans to step down as royals, they stated that they would share their time between the United Kingdom and North America.
However, because their decision coincided with the global pandemic, they have not been able to travel as freely as they would have liked. This means that instead of splitting up, they have spent all of their time in California.
However, as the world learns how to deal with Covid and travel restrictions loosen, they will be expected to spend more time in the UK. They’ve been working on a variety of projects in the meantime.
Prince Harry has been working on a behind-the-scenes docu-series on the Invictus Games dubbed ‘Heart of Invictus’ as part of a £100 million deal with Netflix. The Duke has used his time in front and behind the camera to highlight the humanitarian cause’s amazing work as well as some of the inspiring athletes engaged.
Meghan has been working on “Pearl,” an animated children’s series that she is co-creating with David Furnish, Sir Elton John’s husband. Sir Elton was well-known for his friendship with Princess Diana, and he has remained a staunch supporter of her sons, even publicly defending Harry against criticism over his use of a private plane.
