Teddi Mellencamp Shares Emotional Update as Stage 4 Tumors Shrink Dramatically

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is sharing a much-needed dose of hope with fans as she continues her courageous battle against stage 4 cancer. In a heartfelt video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, the 43-year-old reality star revealed encouraging news from her latest round of scans.

“The crying is already done,” Mellencamp said with a smile. “I just finished with all of my scans and my tumors have significantly shrunk, which doctors believe means that this [treatment] all will work and that I will be back to myself and feeling good!”

The news brings a wave of cautious optimism for the former Bravo star, who has been undergoing aggressive treatment after being diagnosed with advanced melanoma. With two sessions of immunotherapy left, Mellencamp is hopeful the end of her cancer journey is in sight.

“If all continues to go well, hopefully [I will be] done and cancer-free,” she said. “I’m gonna keep a positive outlook because that’s the way that my doctor just spoke to me. He’s like, ‘You did this. You got this.’”

In the caption of her Instagram post, Mellencamp elaborated, writing, “I have 6ish more weeks of immunotherapy and doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course.” She also expressed gratitude for the “love, prayers, and positivity” from her fans, who’ve supported her through her toughest days.

The uplifting update comes after a deeply candid interview with Nightline earlier this month, where Mellencamp revealed the grim uncertainty she faced. At one point, doctors told her she had a 50/50 chance of survival.

“It’s one of my favorite things to ask—‘How long I got?’ or ‘What are my chances?’ And they often times say, ‘50/50,’” she recalled. Her reaction was both emotional and honest: “‘50/50?! I wouldn’t buy a car that’s only gonna drive 50 percent of the time. I don’t want this!’”

Mellencamp was first diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in 2022. Her condition worsened earlier this year when multiple tumors were discovered on her brain, prompting emergency surgery to remove four of them. She has since undergone immunotherapy to target the remaining growths.

Now, with signs pointing toward progress, Mellencamp’s resolve and resilience are resonating far beyond the world of reality TV. Though the road ahead is not yet over, her spirit remains unwavering—and for fans and followers alike, her strength continues to inspire.
