Sahara Ray, the Australian model and ex-girlfriend of pop star Justin Bieber, has publicly retracted serious accusations she previously made against her fiancé, Mike Dow. In a recent Instagram statement, Ray admitted the allegations of abuse were false and shared insight into her mental health struggles at the time.
Ray, 32, shocked followers last week when she accused Dow of physical, sexual, and financial abuse. However, in a follow-up post, she expressed deep regret, stating the claims were untrue and made during a mental health episode.

“I want to thank everyone for their concern and for reaching out over the past week. I want to set the record straight – I posted things about my fiancé that weren’t true and were deeply hurtful to him. I’m so sorry for the hurt and confusion I caused – none of it ever actually happened,” she wrote.

In the emotional Instagram Story, Ray described the experience as a distorted reality caused by a psychological episode.
“When I made those posts, I was experiencing an episode that warped my perception of reality and led me to believe things that weren’t real. During my episode, I truly believed things had happened that didn’t – and it all felt very real. I was hospitalized and quickly realized that they didn’t happen. That’s not an excuse, just the truth,” she explained.
Ray also apologized directly to her fiancé: “To my fiancé, I’m truly sorry. And to everyone who saw those posts – thank you for giving me the chance to explain and make this right.”
She went on to thank her supporters, saying, “I’m incredibly grateful to my family, friends, and this community who have stood by me while I work through this. Your support means the world to me right now.”

The apology follows a series of alarming now-deleted posts from Ray, including one that read, “Somebody is trying to kill me. Please help me.” The content sparked concern from fans and loved ones, many questioning whether she was in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis.

One follower commented, “This is really concerning, hard to tell if she’s really in trouble or having a mental breakdown. I hope she’s okay.” Sahara Ray rose to fame in part due to her rumored relationship with Justin Bieber in 2016. As of now, neither Ray nor Mike Dow has provided an update on their current relationship status.
