Caught on Camera, Nancy Mace Unleashes Profanity-Filled Meltdown on Constituent

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is facing criticism after posting a video of a heated argument with a constituent, which ended with her yelling expletives at the man inside what appears to be a retail store.

The video, which Mace shared on her own social media accounts Saturday, begins with the man calmly asking if she plans to hold a town hall this year. Mace responds that she already hosted one.

“I do them every year. You want to keep going? You want to keep harassing me?” she snaps in the video. The constituent replies, “I asked if you were doing any this year. It was one simple question.” Mace reiterates, “I’ve already done one. I’ll do plenty more.”

Seemingly out of context, Mace then says, “And by the way, I voted for gay marriage twice.” When the man asks, “What does that have to do with me?” she responds, “It has everything to do with you.” The exchange quickly escalates. Mace accuses the man of being “crazy” and says, “Because you people on the left are crazy. You’re absolutely fucking crazy.”

As the confrontation intensifies, the man walks away calling Mace a “disgrace to this state” and a “nasty bitch.” Mace fires back: “Get the f** out of my face! F* you! F* you! You couldn’t take me on, baby.”*

In the caption of her video, Mace wrote: “Some unhinged lunatic, a man, wearing daisy dukes, at a makeup store, got in my face today. Dems are nuts. So I went off – and I won’t be backing down. I hold the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Try me.”

The incident adds to a growing list of confrontational moments involving the congresswoman. Mace represents South Carolina’s 1st congressional district and has been under scrutiny for holding fewer public town halls in recent months — a trend seen among several Republican lawmakers following budget cuts and staffing reductions during Donald Trump’s administration.

Mace has also courted controversy with her legislative proposals, including a bathroom bill aimed at blocking transgender women from using women’s facilities in the Capitol. She named Rep.-elect Sarah McBride, the first openly transgender woman in Congress, as the inspiration for the legislation.

“This is about basic safety and privacy,” Mace said, adding, “I’m not going to stand for a man — someone with a penis — in the women’s locker room. That’s not OK.” The video has reignited debates over public accountability, civility, and Mace’s increasingly combative political style.
