Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is under fire after showcasing her designer wardrobe on Instagram—despite reportedly owing over $3 million in taxes.
The 52-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram earlier this week, posting two photos of herself wearing a black T-shirt emblazoned with luxury fashion house names: “I Speak Fluent French. Hermes. Chanel. Dior. Saint Laurent.” In the caption, Giudice wrote, “New week, fresh goals, unstoppable energy! Let’s make this Monday the start of something amazing. ✨ #MondayMotivation #NewWeekNewGoals.”

But the motivational post didn’t land well with followers, many of whom criticized Giudice for flaunting her wealth while facing mounting financial troubles. “You are about to be fluent in federal tax evasion,” one user quipped in the comments. Another chimed in, “Oh Teresa, do you ever learn? Who are you gonna blame now?” Others were more blunt: “Only buying expensive stuff but not paying millions in taxes.”
Critics were quick to highlight that Giudice and her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, are facing serious financial burdens. According to Page Six, Giudice owes approximately $303,889 in taxes, while Ruelas is reportedly on the hook for around $2.6 million. Commenters didn’t hold back their frustration over what they called tone-deaf behavior.
“Very tone deaf considering her major debt and Louie’s massive debt. How can they feel this is alright, advertising a fake lavish lifestyle based on massive debt? So delusional,” one person wrote. Others questioned Giudice’s priorities, with one commenter remarking, “Go pay your bills and quit obsessing about shallow labels nobody cares about.”

The backlash comes on the heels of another report by The Sun US, which revealed the couple recently negotiated with a Florida-based lender to extend a $1 million mortgage loan. Court documents indicated the loan’s maturity date was extended from March 25, 2025, to March 25, 2026. Additionally, the lender issued the couple a new loan for $250,000.
Despite the financial strain, Giudice’s online presence continues to reflect a high-end lifestyle, leading fans and critics alike to question whether the reality star has truly learned from past legal and financial troubles. As public scrutiny mounts, Giudice has yet to publicly address the backlash surrounding her recent post.
