Kim Kardashian has shared a chilling warning she received from ex-husband Kanye West before she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, losing $10 million worth of jewelry.
During an exclusive segment of her family’s Disney+ series The Kardashians on Thursday, March 13, the SKIMS founder opened up about the terrifying October 2016 incident.

The 44-year-old, who officially divorced West in 2022, claimed that Kanye had cautioned her against wearing both of her engagement rings at the same time—a warning that, in hindsight, seemed eerily prescient.
“The first one that I got engaged to Kanye [with] was a cushion cut,” Kardashian recalled. “And that was the only piece of jewelry I owned that I didn’t take to Paris.”
Prior to the robbery, Kardashian had showcased both of her diamond rings during a high-profile outing at Madison Square Garden, posting multiple photos on social media flaunting her extravagant jewelry.
Reflecting on the moment, she recounted an unsettling exchange with West. “Kanye saw it and he goes, ‘Don’t you ever wear both of your rings at the same time. Are you looking to get robbed?'”

For those unfamiliar with the history, West first proposed to Kardashian in 2013 with a stunning 15-carat ring before later upgrading it to an even more extravagant 20-carat diamond.

The robbery, which took place in Kardashian’s Paris hotel room, remains one of the most high-profile celebrity crime incidents in recent years. She was tied up and held at gunpoint while masked thieves made off with millions in jewelry, including her second engagement ring.
Kardashian has since been vocal about the impact of the ordeal, drastically changing her approach to displaying wealth in public and limiting her social media activity regarding valuables.
Her revelation in The Kardashians highlights how West’s warning, though initially perceived as cautionary advice, foreshadowed a traumatic event that would change her perspective on security forever.
