A Wisconsin family is desperately seeking help to find 13-year-old Lillian Asala, who seemingly vanished after leaving home on March 1, 2025. The teenager was last seen around 4 p.m. when she stepped out for fresh air but never returned.
Lillian’s cell phone last pinged at Abendschein Park’s skate park in Oak Creek around 5 p.m. that evening. However, no one has seen or heard from her since. Her great-aunt, Amy Czarnecki, told TMJ 4 that four children reported spotting Lillian in the area that day. Lillian’s grandmother, who had been watching her, said she allowed her to go to the park. When Lillian failed to respond to calls and texts, the family contacted the police.

“K-9s have been out there. Lots of drones. They’ve picked up her scent at certain locations. They’ve been looking there,” Amy Czarnecki said. Lillian’s last known location, about a mile away from home, was unfamiliar to her family. They now fear she may have gotten into a car near South Pennsylvania Avenue and East Forest Hill Avenue.
Community members have rallied around the search effort, with the American Legion Post 434 in Oak Creek stepping up as a search hub. “All the members came out and generously offered labor, printing, and footwork, and it’s actually been, I’m getting a little emotional, but it’s been a really good outcry of community support,” said Lillian’s great-uncle, Bob Czarnecki.
Amy Czarnecki added, “We just want her home safe as soon as possible.” According to the Oak Creek Police Department, “Lillian is described as a white female, 5’05” tall, weighing 140 pounds, with blonde hair and braces. Lillian was last seen wearing a black winter coat, blue jeans, and blue and white Nike shoes.”

Authorities updated the case on March 5, stating, “At this time, there is no indication or evidence of foul play. Tips and investigative leads continue to be followed up on. The Oak Creek Police Department thanks everyone who has assisted Lillian’s family and our police department during this investigation. Please contact the Oak Creek Police Department at 414-762-8200 if you have any information on Lillian’s whereabouts.”
Linda Grace, Lillian’s great-aunt, thanked the community for their efforts via Facebook. “Lillian is my great-niece. Thank you all for sharing and for your concern. I’m watching this (and other feeds) closely,” she wrote. “Should more paper posters need to get out, and/or a physical search be warranted, I am indeed keeping track of who in the community may be able to help… Appreciate you all so very much.” As the search continues, Lillian’s family remains hopeful that she will be found safe and brought home soon.
