Kelly Clarkson’s Kids Join Her on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Remington Reacts to His Viral Performance
Kelly Clarkson’s children, 10-year-old River, and 8-year-old Remington, made a heartwarming appearance on Wednesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. The segment, which brought the siblings to the couch, followed the viral success of Remington’s performance from a previous episode.
Back on November 27, Remington captured viewers’ attention with his confident “Kellyoke” rendition of Frank Sinatra’s 1969 hit My Way. The third grader’s performance quickly garnered over 1.5 million views on the show’s YouTube channel, surprising many with his stage presence.
According to Daily Mail, During the latest episode, Clarkson asked her son how he felt about the newfound attention. Remington proudly responded, “Yeah, how many views did I get again?” Clarkson shared the playful exchange with the audience, recounting, “I said, ‘Man, buddy, you’ve got like over a million views!’ And he goes, ‘Do you get that many views?’” Clarkson laughed and jokingly replied, “I was like, ‘Calm down. And not often.’”
The conversation also touched on Clarkson’s approach to her children’s relationship with social media, especially given her past stance on not allowing them to have Instagram accounts until they are 18.
Clarkson, who shares custody of River and Remington with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, continues to focus on her family life while balancing her career. Her dedication to both has recently been rewarded with a renewal for The Kelly Clarkson Show, which will return for its seventh season.
In addition to her successful talk show, Clarkson is also nominated for Best Talk Show at the 30th Critics’ Choice Awards, which is scheduled for January 26. The nomination reflects the growing success of her show and her continued popularity with audiences, particularly as she shares more moments of joy and humor with her family on air.
