Mom Allegedly Spits and Forces Dish Soap Into Baby’s Mouth in Disturbing Video

An Ohio mother, Cloe Workman, 20, has been arrested after a disturbing video allegedly showing her abusing her baby went viral. Workman faces two felony charges: one for child endangerment and another for domestic violence.

The video, which circulated widely online, reportedly depicts Workman spitting on her baby’s face, pushing the infant down by the head, and squirting dish detergent into the baby’s mouth, according to court records obtained by WKRC, a local CBS affiliate. The video was allegedly sent to the baby’s father before gaining widespread attention, prompting public outrage and calls for her arrest.

The Loveland Police Department, along with Child Protective Services, launched an investigation following a complaint filed by multiple people who saw the video, as reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Workman was initially charged with child endangerment, but an additional charge of domestic violence was filed on Wednesday.

The baby girl, who is just over a year old, is reported to be safe and has been placed in the care of Workman’s grandparents. Meanwhile, the baby’s uncle has started a GoFundMe campaign to help the child’s father hire an attorney and fight for custody.

Workman was arrested on Thursday and appeared in court the following day. While she was released on her own recognizance, the judge ordered her to wear a 24-hour monitoring device and remain under house arrest until her next court appearance on January 6.

The incident has drawn widespread condemnation, with many calling for stricter accountability in cases involving child abuse. Authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to ensure the safety and well-being of the child.

This case highlights the crucial role of public awareness and swift reporting in addressing instances of child abuse. As the legal proceedings unfold, advocates stress the importance of protecting vulnerable children and ensuring justice in cases of domestic violence.
