A Queens mother, Paraskevi Tsintzelis, 64, suffered multiple fractures and broken bones after her drug-addicted son, George Tsintzelis, 36, violently attacked her in their Astoria apartment. In a terrifying incident, George threatened his mother at knifepoint, forced her out of a window, and caused her to fall three stories.

Despite the brutal attack, Paraskevi continues to worry about her son and has tried to help him, even sending him to rehab in the past. Paraskevi recounted the horrific details from her hospital bed, explaining how George had been waiting for her in the living room when she returned home from checking the mail.

“I said, ‘Leave,’ and he said, ‘No, I want to talk to you,'” she recalled. “He had the knives in his hand. He said, ‘Don’t yell or I am gonna stab you.’ He was breaking things…picture frames with my daughter. He wouldn’t leave.” She described being chased around the room, with George hurting her with the back of the knife, she told the Post.

The violence escalated when George took both her phone and house phone to prevent her from calling for help. “He was smoking drugs in the house and blowing it in my face. I was afraid of him. He said to me, ‘F–k you bitch.’ He had the knife at my neck,” Paraskevi said.

She continued to describe how George forced her to call her daughter, Argyro Tsintzelis, at knifepoint to ask for money. The situation took a chilling turn when George forced Paraskevi onto the window ledge, threatening her life. “He had the knife at my neck,” she recalled.

“I told him I wanted to use the bathroom and I wanted some water. He said no. I asked him for my asthma pump and he said no. ‘You are going to see what happens. No one is going to see it. Who is going to know what happened?’”

Paraskevi’s last memory before the attack was George pushing her with both hands, causing her to fall and blackout. She woke up in the hospital with severe injuries, including brain bleeding, and broken left shoulder, arm, and facial fractures. She now requires a cane to walk and may need further surgery.

Despite everything, Paraskevi admitted she still worries about her son and continues to show him kindness. “Wherever you put the devil, it’s still the devil. I’m sorry for my words,” she said, haunted by the trauma and still “seeing” her son everywhere. George Tsintzelis is currently incarcerated at Rikers Island and is due back in a Queens court in March.
