Chrissy Teigen Shares Hilarious ‘How It’s Going’ Thanksgiving Prep with Four Kids
Chrissy Teigen is giving fans an unfiltered look at her chaotic yet humorous Thanksgiving preparation. The 38-year-old model and cookbook author took to Instagram to document her Friendsgiving planning for her four children and their friends, sharing both the glamorous and comical sides of the festivities.
In the first photo, Teigen is seen in a picture-perfect holiday ensemble, wearing a chic red dress and jacket set topped with a chef’s hat. The next image takes a hilariously unexpected turn, showing Teigen dressed as a forlorn Oompa Loompa, serving candy to a crowd of children—a nod to a chaotic Willy Wonka-inspired experience.
“How it started / how it’s going,” Teigen captioned the post, adding a playful glimpse into her busy month. “Currently prepping the 4th Friendsgiving of the month,” she wrote with a string of crying emojis before joking, “Got too many kids, man.”
Teigen and her husband, John Legend, are parents to Luna, 8, Miles, 6, Esti, 22 months, and Wren, 17 months. The actress who originally played the Oompa Loompa character, Kirsty Paterson, even chimed in on the post, commenting, “You know you made it when Chrissy Teigen is dressing as you.”
In addition to sharing her Thanksgiving prep woes, Teigen recently opened up about her unconventional holiday menu. Speaking to People, she revealed that turkey isn’t the centerpiece of her celebrations.
“The only weird thing that I do is like, I’m not big into turkey,” she said. “So we tend to, like, nestle, like, three big chickens into the same roasting pan, and we find that everyone enjoys it so much more than turkey. So that’s always really fun to do.”
Teigen’s candid posts and quirky traditions continue to resonate with fans, who appreciate her relatable approach to parenting, cooking, and holiday chaos. Whether dressed as a sad Oompa Loompa or reshaping Thanksgiving dinner norms, Teigen proves that even celebrity festivities come with their own brand of humor and unpredictability.
