10-Month-Old Baby Released from Hospital After Severe Injuries: Family Shares Heartbreaking Update

A 10-month-old baby named Waylon has been released from the hospital after a grueling fight for his life due to injuries allegedly caused by his mother’s boyfriend. According to authorities, the boyfriend, Jordan Boggess, admitted to giving Waylon a “bear hug” after tossing him in the air and failing to catch him, leading to life-altering consequences for the infant.

Waylon’s father, Tyler Burbridge, shared the family’s pain and the lasting impact the incident will have on his son’s life. “He has basically been reset to a newborn,” Burbridge said, explaining the extent of the trauma Waylon endured. Waylon spent nearly a month and a half in the hospital in critical condition, facing an uncertain future.

The incident occurred in September when Waylon’s mother placed him in a baby jumper and briefly stepped away to go to the bathroom. According to authorities, Boggess picked Waylon up and tossed him in the air, but failed to catch him on the second throw. He then allegedly held Waylon in a tight “bear hug” until the baby stopped crying. “He basically took my son’s life. He took my son’s future. You don’t toss a baby into the air,” Burbridge said, expressing his grief and frustration.

According to online records, Waylon’s family has shared that the injuries he sustained are life-altering. “As of right now, he cannot see. He can’t sit up. He can barely lift his head up. He’s going to have to have a lot of physical therapy,” Burbridge explained. The once-active baby now faces a long road to recovery, with extensive therapy required to help him regain some functionality.

Waylon’s mother, Bessie McCamish, stated that the family’s main focus is on Waylon’s recovery and supporting him through this difficult time. Both parents are committed to providing him with the care he needs to face these new challenges.

Jordan Boggess has been accused of child abuse and is scheduled to appear in court next month. As Waylon begins his journey of healing, his family is determined to seek justice and raise awareness about the devastating consequences of child abuse.
