Kylie Jenner Opens Up About Post-Pregnancy Body Image Struggles
Kylie Jenner recently revealed her challenges with body image following her pregnancy. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and mother of two—six-year-old Stormi and two-year-old Aire—shared her experience in the November 2024 issue of ELLE magazine, candidly discussing how difficult it was to come to terms with her changing body after becoming a mother at a young age.
“I got pregnant when I was 19. Having a baby really young was more shocking,” the 27-year-old beauty mogul admitted. “Maybe, because I saw these changes happening to my body—all these new stretch marks and things that I didn’t have before.”
Reflecting on her early twenties, Kylie recalled the emotional and physical transformation she underwent during her pregnancies. “The first part of my twenties was having children, learning what my personal style was, and then losing it,” she said. “Not knowing how to dress, gaining 60 pounds for both pregnancies.”
According to Kylie, it took about a year for her to start feeling like herself again after each pregnancy. The physical changes, coupled with the challenges of navigating motherhood, made it a difficult time for the reality star. However, she explained that with time, she was able to overcome postpartum depression and regain her confidence.
“At 27, I feel more confident and more like myself than ever,” she said, emphasizing the personal growth and strength she has found since becoming a mother.
In a previous interview, Kylie mentioned that she didn’t feel pressured to lose weight quickly after giving birth, focusing instead on trusting her body’s natural process. “Maybe mentally it’s harder, but seeing my body and stuff, I just, I trust the process,” she shared, highlighting her healthier mindset during her postpartum journey.
Now, Kylie views both her body and motherhood from a new, more positive perspective. She explained that becoming a mother has given her a deeper appreciation for her body, seeing it through a different lens and embracing the changes that come with creating life.
Kylie’s candid reflections offer insight into the often-unspoken emotional and physical struggles many women face after pregnancy, reminding her fans and followers that confidence and self-acceptance can come with time.
