“Kamala Can’t Even Run Bingo”: Trump Adviser Stephen Miller Clashes with Harris Spokesperson Over Interview Snub

A fiery social media feud erupted Monday night when Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller slammed Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign spokesperson, Ian Sams, accusing Harris of incompetence and defending Donald Trump’s decision to skip a scheduled “60 Minutes” interview. Miller’s sharp critique came after Sams suggested that the former president was “avoiding the media.”
The clash unfolded online shortly after the airing of the traditional “60 Minutes” candidate interview, which Trump had initially agreed to but ultimately declined. Scott Pelley opened the segment by explaining in detail how Trump had committed to the interview, citing calls and texts from Trump’s communication director, Steven Cheung, before the sudden cancellation.
Taking to social media platform X, Sams responded to the episode, calling out Trump’s absence. “Scott Pelley opens ‘60 Minutes’ outlining in great detail how Donald Trump agreed to sit for an interview, including quoting Steven Cheung’s phone calls and text messages, before canceling,” Sams posted. “Yikes. Why is Trump avoiding the media? Why won’t he answer questions from real outlets?”
Miller, known for his loyalty to Trump and his role in the administration’s “zero tolerance” family separation policy, was quick to respond with a scathing rebuttal. “Hey liar, Trump has done dozens of hours-long press conferences with adversarial media,” Miller fired back. “Kamala has never done one adversarial interview in any setting anywhere and never done one single solitary press conference. Kamala isn’t competent to run a bingo game at the community center.”
The spat highlighted tensions between the two political camps, as Sams, who recently left his position as a Biden administration spokesman for oversight and investigations to join the Harris-Walz campaign, defended his boss. Sams previously served as the national press secretary during Harris’ 2020 presidential run, further solidifying his close ties to the vice president, the Washington Post reported.
Meanwhile, Miller, a central figure in Trump’s inner circle and a staunch defender of the former president’s policies, used the opportunity to discredit Harris and shift attention back onto her. His remarks aimed to paint Trump as a more accessible and transparent candidate than Harris.
This latest confrontation underscores the growing animosity between the two campaigns as they gear up for the upcoming election cycle. With Sams calling out Trump for avoiding media scrutiny and Miller doubling down on criticisms of Harris, the back-and-forth revealed the fierce battle lines drawn between both parties.
