After a six-year-long legal battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie appears ready to move forward, signaling peace with a major decision. In late September 2024, the 49-year-old actress officially dropped her lawsuit against the FBI, which had been investigating a 2016 plane incident in which Jolie accused Pitt, 60, of violence toward her and their children. The FBI had previously closed the case without charges.

According to Radar Online, this move suggests that Jolie is finally prepared to leave the past behind and end the ongoing legal war. A source close to the situation shared, “Angelina is absolutely exhausted by the ongoing battles over her and Brad’s kids and the incredibly complicated legal case over her sale of their vineyard.”

Since their divorce in 2016, Jolie and Pitt have been locked in numerous legal disputes, including a high-profile custody battle over their six children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox — as well as a drawn-out conflict over their French vineyard, Chateau Miraval.

Jolie, who is juggling her career and motherhood, is also dealing with the added strain of her son Pax’s recovery from a recent bike accident. The source revealed that the weight of these ongoing struggles is taking a toll on the actress. Jolie appeared visibly stressed and somber at the premiere of her new film Maria in New York.

“Everything is getting really draining for her, and she is skinnier than ever with stress,” the source added. Jolie’s decision to drop the FBI lawsuit may be a sign that she is prioritizing her well-being and focusing on her family, aiming to put an end to years of legal battles with Pitt. For now, it seems she is ready to wave the “white flag” and seek a resolution to the turmoil that has dominated much of her personal life in recent years.
