Travis Kelce’s Silence After Former NFL Star’s Jab at Taylor Swift Ignites Speculation

Taylor Swift recently found herself in the crosshairs of former NFL player Antonio Brown, who took to social media to criticize the singer after she skipped her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s second game of the season. Brown, known for his controversial statements, accused Swift of being the reason for Kelce’s slow performance in recent NFL matches.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Brown not only blamed Swift for Kelce’s less-than-stellar gameplay but also made inappropriate comments about her appearance. He further stirred controversy by suggesting that Kelce should date a Black woman instead. Kelce’s silence on Brown’s remarks has fueled speculation about the status of his relationship with the Anti-Hero hitmaker, with rumors swirling that the couple may soon part ways.
This isn’t the first time Antonio Brown has taken a dig at Swift and Kelce. Earlier this year, Brown shared an AI-generated image of himself kissing the singer, which quickly made waves online. A few months later, he posted another AI-generated image, this time mocking Swift and Kelce by imagining what they would look like in 2040, told DailyMail.com
However, despite his controversial posts, Brown has also shown support for Kelce. After Kelce broke Jerry Rice’s record for most postseason receptions in a game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens, Brown referred to him as one of the “dopest crackers.” On the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis’ brother Jason Kelce, Jason recalled Brown’s comment as “probably the biggest compliment.”
Travis responded on the podcast, saying, “I appreciate you, AB, man. Feels good to be one of the dopest crackers. I love that s—.” He added that Brown is “one of my favorite follows on Twitter,” encouraging others to follow the former athlete’s account.
Despite Kelce’s lighthearted shout-out to Brown, fans were left puzzled by his failure to address Brown’s recent disrespectful comments about Swift. One fan voiced their confusion, commenting, “u not gonna address AB’s tweets abt Taylor?”
As of now, neither Swift nor Kelce has made any official statements regarding Brown’s remarks, leaving fans speculating about the future of the high-profile couple.
