OMEGA has released two Co-Axial versions of the storied Seamaster Diver 300M to commemorate the 50th anniversary of one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. It’s hard to believe that nearly fifty years have passed since the release of Dr. No, starring Sean Connery as Her Majesty’s Secret Service agent 007. In 2012, EON Productions will release SKYFALL, the 23rd film in the fabled franchise, with Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond.
To celebrate fifty years of James Bond in the motion pictures, OMEGA is releasing a special update of the incredibly popular Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond watch which was worn by 007 in GOLDENEYE and the four following films. The James Bond 007 50th Anniversary Collector’s Piece has been created in two sizes, 41 mm and 36.25 mm.
There are some features that distinguish these watches: their cases are made of stainless steel and they feature ceramic bezel rings with diving scales in matt chromium nitride except for the number “50” which is in red, as a reminder that the watch is celebrating a very special anniversary.
