Gwyneth Paltrow recently stirred headlines when she seemingly hinted at using her Oscar trophy as a quirky doorstop. However, the “Avengers: Infinity War” actress, renowned for her portrayal as Pepper Potts, was quick to clarify the actual context.

Speaking through her representative to Variety, Paltrow’s comments were clarified as jest. Highlighting her previous conversation with The New York Times, the representative referred to Paltrow’s disclosure that her Oscar resides in an adjoining room of her Amagansett home in New York.

The article underscored the stringent security in Paltrow’s residence, including a guard dog, a house manager, and a surveillance room, ensuring the trophy’s safety.

This statement emerged in response to Paltrow’s playful exchange in the October 9 installment of Vogue’s “73 Questions” video segment. As the video captured the Oscar trophy propping a wooden door, interviewer Joe Sabia remarked on the beauty of the award, to which Paltrow jestingly responded, “It’s my doorstop!” adding, “It works perfectly.”

The clip garnered significant attention, making Paltrow a trending topic across various digital platforms like X (previously known as Twitter), sparking myriad reactions.

Beyond the Oscar chatter, Paltrow’s Vogue interview delved deeper into her personal life. The actress expressed her profound surprise at the boundless love she feels as a mother and further discussed the characteristics her children, Apple and Moses, inherited from her. The children are shared with her ex-spouse, musician Chris Martin.
